So Much For No Resolutions

What's that quote about someone doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results? Well, here I am! I don't do New Year's resolutions but then again I have never had a new year like this one. Unexpectedly alone, owner of several rental properties, and very lonely - just to name a few things.

What I did was sign up for Nutri Systems for diabetics at the cost of about $300/month. Where I may screw up and where the same thing quote comes in is that the food will all come at one time - it will be here all at one time - I have a horrible track record of rationing things out to myself. If there is something I like - I am likely to eat it all at one time.

Case in point - I bought some Strawberry Bagel things for breakfasts and wound up eating 2 boxes worth in 2 days. Should have lasted 8. Duh? Maybe with this program and being able to go on the web I might just shame myself into rationing the food like I'm supposed to! Hope so!

Anyway - ordered that stuff today, put a rinse in my hair to sort of cover the gray, and thought about playing with my Wii that I bought weeks ago and finally set up 2 days ago and still haven't done anything with it but buy more programs. Wow, it's 8:30 PM and haven't accomplished much today but have felt busy all day.

Oh yeah, today I realized that I am showing myself the signs of being depressed. When I am depressed I tend to buy things. I have been a maniac the last few days with buying things on line - all things I really really need. Like the 8 hour battery for my netbook that I haven't even turned on since I came back from Branson on the 24th and I usually keep it plugged in when I use it at home. Really needed to get that battery! Also needed those Miracle Sponges that I can't seem to find in the stores and I'm down to only 2 of the regular size and 1 of the gigantic size. Wouldn't want to run out of Miracle sponges! I am going to really try to stop buying things right after I buy a case to put the folded flag from Jim's funeral. Thought I had a case but it is way too small. Checked it's size against the ones in the AAFES catalog and the one I have is much smaller. Who knew that there were different sizes for triangular cases for folded flags? And speaking of folded flags - what do I do with the one that came in the case that Jim bought? It is stained and much smaller. I have one to fly and the one from the funeral and really don't need this stained one. Guess I will contact the VFW to see what to do.

Wow - all over the place today with this, aren't I? Pre-Nutri systems supper is done so gonna go feed my face. Then I'm going to try to figure out how to get the video from my old camcorder on to a DVD. Think I might be able to use the DVD recorder I have upstairs that I have never learned how to record on since I got it a few years ago. Or may just see what all the fuss is over the Wii - not that I'm gonna exercise - LOL.
